This is my first recording...



I decided to re-record my outside broadcast because I was in a hurry and feel as if i was a bit too informal.

My Soft News - Miley Cyrus In London!

For the soft news side of my newscast I luckily managed get to Radio 1 station in time to see the one and only miley cyrus and to my surprise she was fully clothed! I know its hard to believe isn't it? Well here's proof..

Miley Outside Radio 1 Station

 After a very long wait outside, her majesty Queen of Pop finally came out and I also managed to get a recording of the commotion for the radio newscast unfortunately i could't get her in the video.

 
The news values for this story is timelessness/currency as it is an event that has taken place quite recently.
It would also be seen as a prominence story as Miley Cyrus is a person in the public eye and people like to keep tabs on celebrities like her.

This story is relevant to my target audience: teenagers, because most of Miley's die hard fans are teens. These kids are constantly following her each and every act with the help of a social network known as TWITTER! This is probably how all the crazy fans found out about the event and landed straight out side of the station which made it really hard for me to get her on video.

Akfa: Hiya buzzers, you’re tuning in to teenbuzz, the feisty, fierce and fabulous radio. I’m your host Akfa and today we have the hottest duos right now. Can I get a drumroll please?  

(drumroll sound effect)

Akfa: It’s only Shazmin and Fahima. 

(Applause sound effect)

So guys tell me about your new single.

Shazmin: It consists of lively music, as we want it to appeal to the youngsters out there.

Fahima: This album is going to be released next week so hurry before it sells out.

Akfa: So are you guys going on tour anytime soon?

Shazmin: We’ve got a fun pack tour coming up this March. So I hope you peeps have bought you tickets.

Fahima: We’ve also got special guests who are going to perform with us.

Akfa: So can we get an exclusive sneak peek here at Teenbuzz?

Shazmin: Nope, you just have to wait and see.

Akfa: Stay tuned as after the break, Shazmin & Fahima are going to preform live their new single, don’t go anywhere.

This script is our rough copy for the preliminary task. We decided to improve it as it lacked enthusiasm.

Preliminary Task

We decided to make another improved version of this task as we feel like it is lacking certain aspects e.g. special effects.

My Hard News - Magistrates Court Case

For our radio news cast, each of us had to go out and look for local news and do either a vox pop, outside broadcast or an interview on the event. 

Outside of the court.

I went to Magistrates court and witnessed a case where the judge had to decide whether a 19 year old would be granted bail or not after being charged of assault and battery. This guy decided its alright for him to swing at an innocent man after saying "Get out of my way before I f****** punch you!!" then straight after that he hit a WOMAN!! As you may have already realised he most definitely did not get bail even though he argued that the court have the wrong person! 

This story has a negative impact on the audience as it warns people about these situations and the outcome it may have. 
To make this story my own I have done an outside broadcast in front of the magistrates court and i also interviewed a woman who also witnessed this case with me in the public gallery to get her opinion on the case.

This story is relevant to teenagers as the boy trialed in cour was a teenager so it becomes a warning for the younger people as actions have consequences.

Roles And Responsibilities

Fahima	Attend the magistrates court in Bow and listen to court cases. Do an outside broadcast and briefly explain what cases have been discussed.	Miley Cyrus spotted outside Radio 1. Do an outside broadcast.
Akfa	Getting opinions on how to get young people more involved in sports. This is going to be done by interviewing sports ambassadors or PE teachers.	Do an interview with a newly formed singer known as Salique.
Shazmin	A cyclist was killed in Mile End. Using voxpop, talk to teachers around the school about how they have been affected by the news and about how to keep safe whilst cycling.	Go to local shopping centres and talk to people or store owners/workers about the latest trends out and what they think is ideal to wear during Christmas. This will be done through voxpop.
