What Is News?

News is just anything that is of any interest to people. It includes anything that relates to what's happening in the world, what's happening in areas of the culture that would be of interest to a specific audience. News is what keeps everyone updated on what is happening in our world and they are divided into two different types of news; Hard news and Soft news.

 Hard News:

Personally I like to call hard news the "BORING" type of news. I know, I know, I should be a bit more considerate as it does include some information that might affect me e.g. local news. So in other words Hard news is any story that affects the people through events that include politics, war, economics and crime. For Example: 




Soft News:

If you know me then you also must know that I am a massive soft news kind of girl. Some people might consider this a bit sad but I seem to always be interested in what's happening in the lives of celebrities, who's going out with who? Who's cheating on who? etc. I just can't help it! especially when it comes down to ONE DIRECTION!!! Basically Soft news is background information or human-interest stories like arts, entertainment and lifestyles.
